We are looking for one or two University students to our Mechanical engineering department to work with customer and R&D projects as a design engineer trainee to our office in Vantaa, near Helsinki-Vantaa airport. Are you a mechanical engineering student who is passionate about mechanical engineering and 3D-modelling with experience of creating technical part and assembly drawings? It yes, this could be a great change for you!
In this position you will work in the Mechanical engineering department with customer and R&D projects. Your main tasks are to perform engineering work in 3D environment, produce technical part and assembly drawings and update design structures to PDM system. You will work in close co-operation with other engineering disciplines, product management and production. A typical design task for you could be for example taking care of engineering work of some subassembly. In the end of the summer, you may have change to see how you design work performs in practice in our production. Our mechanical engineers and lead engineers will supervise you in your daily work.
What are we looking for?
We believe that this summer job would be most suitable for a Mechanical Engineering student who has completed at least half of the studies, has some relevant work experience, and might be interested in working for us also in the following summer(s) or/and as an hourly employee along the studies.
Our ideal candidate would be/have:
- Mechanical Engineering student
- More than half of the studies completed
- True interest to mechanical engineering and 3D-modelling
- Good skills with some 3D-modelling software
- Experience of creating technical part and assembly drawings
- Basic knowledge of machine building and structural analysis
- Capability to work also in hand-on work with prototypes
- Good communication skills in English, capability to communicate in Finnish is seen as benefit
