Tell us something about your job? What is it like working as a Project Manager?
I started to join Nextrom in 2016 as a process engineer and project site manager. From September 2022 my job position was changed to project manager. I like both jobs’ positions very much.
As a process engineer, I travelled a lot to customer sites during the project commissioning phase. To make machine functioning work and get customer happy and satisfy with the machine and process was the main target. I met and worked with lots of customers. I got lots of feedback and good idea from them. I was cooperating with our own mechanic and software teams on site. I got lots of support from different teams in Vantaa or Shanghai office for each project. I enjoyed the atmosphere that everyone was trying their best to make project successfully and make customer happy.
As a project manager, I cooperate and communicate with internal teams and customer quite a lot. I appreciate the PM team and the other teams in Nextrom are giving me and the projects great support all the time.
What is the best part of working for Nextrom?
Before I worked for Nextrom, I was Nextrom’s customer and worked with Nextrom’s commissioning team and project manager Petri Kaasinen during 2013 and 2014. At that time Nextrom’s professional project management and passionate commissioning teams gave me and the company I worked very great impression. So, the best part of working in Nextrom is you get trust, and you can make things happen and impact customer very much with your effort. No matter what position you are working for in Nextrom, you are very important.
What are your hobbies?
I like playing badminton. I get to know more and more badminton players in Finland and played with them quite a lot.
In summertime I like riding bicycles and enjoy the wonderful nature in Finland.
I started to learn cross country ski and downhill ski from end of December 2020. Now in wintertime, I have new hobbies.
